Finding the Creator’s Goodness as a Adult Survivor of Childhood Sexual Abuse
First, I would like to mention God did not wish for me to go through the evil that my mother and her second husband put me through as a very young child into young adulthood. And because I have gone through the pain and cruelty and survived and healed, I have a wonderful and everlasting testimony to the Lord’s goodness in my life.
For He is good and does not wish that anyone should perish, but accept His Son as our Savior so we can spend eternity living with Him in heaven.
Psalm 34: 8 O, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
Father,
You came near to me with Your offer of salvation from this temporary world. And because I accepted Your personal invitation to be adopted as Your child, I now call You Abba Father. (Daddy) You’ve shown Your intimacy to me, through what Your Son did for me; and all who will believe upon Your plan of salvation. Your goodness extends amazing grace to whosoever will call upon the name of Jesus, and all who will choose to love You as You deserve to be loved and obeyed. An obedient and transformed heart towards You is what you desire. And I find Your will for my life through Your Word (the Bible); which teaches me about Who You are and what You require for me to live an abundant life, filled with the joy of knowing Jesus will be returning for His church suddenly. Because He says that no one knows when He will return, we must keep ourselves constantly at the ready to meet Him; through faith that comes through knowing Him through His Word, and actively watch and wait His return.
