my family COVID journey

My Family COVID Journey

A couple of months before COVID, the church held a revival. It has about 50 adults and 58 children in the church. During revival, which lasted two weeks, I began to cough constantly. I just thought it was allergies and ate handfuls of cough drops. When after two weeks the cough didn’t get better I went to the doctor. I had pneumonia and was given IV antibiotics, breathing treatments, and steroids to get better. It took me about 5 weeks to get my former energy back again.

I began hearing about the virus and watching it spread across the nation. The state of Louisiana where I live, has a hot spot down in the southern part and is seeing its second surge of the virus.

My husband works at a huge plant where they make air conditioning compressors for residential and commercial customers. There have been many turn up with COVID even though the plant is abiding by all the state and CDC rules for keeping employees safe. We both wear masks when we go places.

Within my extended family, no one has had the virus.

We are so thankful to the Lord.
